Mission Statement.

The Public Library Foundation of Beaufort County (PLFBC) will develop and encourage community investment through individual, private and corporate giving. The Foundation will raise supplementary endowment and special projects funds that will be targeted to improve and expand library services.

Vision Statement.

The Public Library Foundation of Beaufort County recognizes that there is a need for a public library that is:

1. A leader in the community;
2. A vital threshold to opportunity, self-education and recreation;
3. Nationally recognized exemplary public library system.

Library leadership must provide free access to information and a dynamic exchange of ideas both locally and around the world, empowering citizens with resources to adapt to a rapidly changing world while preserving the area’s rich heritage.

Raising The Bar.

The Library Foundation seeks to develop and grow an Endowment Fund so that the proceeds from interest income can be used to provide and accelerate the availability of library services.

Community needs and desires cannot be met through the annual budget and current funding sources. An endowed gift will provide years of benefit long after the gift has been made.
